Mouse Guard

During the summer, bees guard the entrance of the hive and prevent mice from entering.  In the fall and winter time, the bees start to cluster and the hive entrance area is not guarded.  A beehive is a warm and dry place and is attractive to mice for nesting. Mice will move in and build nests causing extensive damage to frames and comb.

This mouse guard gives bees plenty of room to enter and exit but will keep mice out. Mouse guards have a convenient predrilled hole on either end for attachment by screw/nail to the front of the hive covering the entrance. Reuse year after year for continued protection.
